I worked with Madi during a time when I was struggling with being happy at a previous employer that I had spent many years at. I was not feeling fulfilled in my current role, what my pay was and the impact this job had on my life. Before working with Madi, this role had a negative impact on my day-to-day life. I was often feeling down or feeling lost due to the negative workplace environment I was facing everyday and feeling as if I was not making an impact. I am a person who thrives on being challenged. I am often easily bored if I am just going through the motions of daily work life and am not making enough money for the work I was doing. My boss was also toxic as she would micromanage and use threats in order to strike fear into employees. By working with Madi, she let me explain what I was going through and provided me with many positive steps as well as ideas for the changes I needed to make to be happy again in my work life. Madi also held me accountable to make sure I was making the necessary changes I needed which helped a lot. Madi's ability to connect with a person she is working with and being able to provide the necessary steps to help that individual make a positive difference is something that comes natural to her and why she will be a great life coach. I strongly believe she will make a major positive impact on many lives. I eventually ended up moving on from the company which I was unhappy at and starting my own real estate photography business. I am really happy I made this decision and Madi was an integral part in making this positive transition. She is an incredibly talented, natural coach. Her values-centered guidance challenged me to think beyond just “the job search” and focus more on finding a career that would capitalize on my passions and strengths. Madi helped teach me that I need to make a plan and then stick to that plan to make the necessary changes and to trust the process. What I liked most about our coaching relationship is that Madi held me accountable during the process and checked in with me frequently which really made an impact. I would highly recommend Madi as a life coach to any individual that needs to make a positive change in their life.

The dictionary defines compassionate as: understanding; with ability to show sympathy and concern for others (1). I would comfortably define it as Madisun Bunker. As a reliable friend, an outstanding roommate, and an ever-lasting teacher, Madi has exemplified friendliness, compassion and helpfulness since I first met her. It would be difficult to list a specific time in my life where I’ve turned to her for help, as there have been so many. I’ve sought Madi’s wisdom and comfort many times in my life and throughout the 12 years of friendship we’ve shared. The times have been bad times in my life. Times when I’ve been betrayed, times when I’ve been guilty, times when I’ve been completely afraid and anxious to the extent of making bad decisions, times when I wished I didn’t have to be myself, etc. I’ve turned to Madi this many times because of her ability to understand emotion and behavior, and her ability to always offer a route that usually leads to acceptance and dignity. There’s 0 times she hasn’t taken my call for help. Through her own life experiences, she’s been able to relate to my personal life struggles that entail failed relationships, loss of close family and general crashes of similarly overwhelming parts of life. She has helped make me strong again more times than I have fingers to count. In terms of “benefits, results and achievements” in the prompt…I would answer that in the rephrased: “what values have I gained from Madi’s coaching?”The answer to that is that I have gained a sense of value in myself that I probably wouldn’t have gained without her coaching and understanding. A value that reaches back to my roots and originality. Madi has taught me to understand failure, recognize genuine effort and to have patience, but to most importantly, keep going. Madi has a relation to nearly everyone’s walk of life, and her open ability to understand and recognize each person’s struggle is her brilliance. There’s no one I wouldn’t recommend her helpful assistance to as a life coach.” 1. (Oxford Languages. “Compassionate”. July 27, 2002. Oxford University)

Losing my sobriety after many years because of a necessary surgery I needed turned my life upside down. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know how to handle my emotions. When other people forgot that I was grieving, the loss of my career as a nurse, my years of sobriety, and so much more. Madi’s grief coaching helped me understand this journey I'm on, and that it's okay to feel all the emotions I was feeling. With texts specifically for me and her words of comfort during a time when I felt so alone and hopeless, I felt a sense of hope. I was also able to open up to my children so that they could better understand what I was going through and we were able to have open conversations about substance abuse, grief and so much more. I was also able to build a stronger bond with my mother when I needed her help while I got treatment. Because of Madi I knew I wasn't in this alone, and all of my feelings were valid and I’m not a failure. Madi’s crisis coaching has honestly helped me more than any other helping professional I've ever known. I am so grateful to have her in my life as a friend and as a coach — I have felt so heard and understood and empowered to take action with the things in my life that I'm struggling with. Amazing service, I would recommend it to any and everyone going through hard times.

When I started working with Madisun I was going through a hard time in my life. I was very depressed. I was very unhappy in my marriage but my wife was ok with the status quo and not interested in changing anything. I needed to get out of the marriage to save myself but was having such a hard time dealing with it and making the decision. I was feeling guilty for having to put myself first. I was also scared of being alone and I felt like my world was collapsing. Madisun helped talk me through it all. She was a great guide. I leaned on her pretty hard and she was always there and knew just what to say to help me find answers. She has great intuition and always seemed to have the ability to know what I needed to hear. I felt like I could tell her anything. She was able to help me make sense of my emotions. As a result of working with her I found my path forward in life and was able to navigate some major obstacles. I found the courage to change my situation. I have now started to rebuild my entire life. I am in a new relationship and building a new house! It feels great.

People say change is hard. It is, but it is much more achievable when you have Madi as your coach and mentor to guide you through the process. I was lucky to have Madi as a coach during a period of time where I needed to make some major changes in my life. Madi’s coaching has helped me in a way no testimonial can really ever cover – but I’ll do my best. I worked with Madi on a balance of work/life issues – from stress/anxiety through to delegation and personal performance. Madi’s different from other coaches – immediately you’re relaxed with her style, but, for me a hugely important one, you get real outcomes that you can implement in your day to day life. It’s not just talking through issues, but ideas and routines to put in place that help – that’s what makes Madi different.

Madi was my initial peer coaching partner. I liked her way of coaching. She was easy-going, open-minded & non-traditional in a sense that coaching can be what feels right in that moment for that specific partner. I appreciated her views on sensitive subjects & her way of approaching them. I learned a lot from Madi & appreciated her time & effort in our sessions.

Prior to meeting Madisun, I did not have many plans for my professional career, mostly jumping from position to position with no clear mindset and not sure what I really wanted to do. When I met Madisun, she had recently come to the hospital I was employed at, she was approachable and easy to talk with. Over the coming weeks of working with Madisun, I found that she easily befriended many people and was always willing to have discussions about work or personal events. As our friendship grew, I started to approach her about other possibilities and career advice as she had been traveling, which was a vague goal of mine. Through our discussions she provided advice and resources to agencies and little tips on making the process more easy. As I was unfamiliar completely with the process, Madisun’s guidance was extremely valuable in building the confidence I needed to start forming a plan on potential traveling. As I came closer to making decisions on traveling full time, Madisun was helpful and would do regular check-ins on my thoughts and plans with advice or steering me towards a path that more fit my personality. It was that personal touch that I greatly appreciated about Madisun’s advice. As she listened and took in who I was as a person and understood my goals, she would in turn provide guidance that was custom for me. As we worked together for the remainder of her contract, I found Madisun always willing to help if I or other staff asked. What really stood out for me was Madisun's willingness to help when myself or others who appeared frustrated with the flow of the department. She would either offer to complete tasks for us or look through the chart and take initiative on completing tasks or making herself available as a second hand. Throughout her time at the hospital I never felt I couldn't approach Madisun with a professional or personal question for advice. What I appreciated the most is that she would always make time to have conversations with me when I needed to and if not possible at the moment due to work, she would ask and try to find times we could discuss on the phone or meet in person to talk. It really increased my respect and I found myself coming to her anytime I wanted life advice or even just to vent frustrations. It was her availability that really made her an invaluable coach as she would always find time to tend to my concerns. Additionally you would notice people coming to her for questions and to discuss personal topics and it was clear many other staff members trusted her. As a result of our many discussions, I finally felt secure and prepared in making larger decisions regarding my career. I made the choice to travel full time after not really having a plan or even a clue how to go about it. Madisun’s advice, friendship, and presence was key to me feeling confident in charging forward and chasing my goals. With my new confidence and knowledge I have been traveling around multiple states , meeting more people and greatly increasing my experience and becoming more marketable to potential positions I could want. Not only did Madisun provide an environment for me to grow professionally, I feel I grew as a person and went from interacting minimally with other staff to easily making friends at new hospitals. I attribute this to Madisun’s advice and confidence building as I was worried I would not make friends traveling to new places. With that advice and reinforcement of myself, I found that I quickly made friends, settled quickly into my settings, and became proficient in my skills and tasks. Madisun continued and continues to be available by phone or email/text anytime I need advice or just vent. Even though we live in different timezones, Madisun always makes time for us to have discussions and talk about my achievements. What I really appreciate is by exposing myself to healthy friendship and positive advice, I find myself doing the same for newer nurses who I encounter during my travels. I try to remember the lessons and advice she has given me and try to do the same for others who come across and seek out similar advice that I received. Overall, Madisun has been a positive individual in my life and helped me steer my career in a direction that fit me and that I greatly enjoy. I find I still can come to her with personal or professional discussion and she always makes time for me. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who seeks professional or personal guidance as she provides a personal touch and tailored approach.
